In 2004, Paul Haggis wrote and directed one of the greatest films of the 21st century, Crash. The film was powerful and bought to the forefront of film about dealing with race and gender. It surprisingly won "Best Film" at the Oscars beating "Brokeback Mountain" and went on to have great DVD sales.
Now... four years later, Starz have a new original drama, Crash, made by the producers of the film and starring Dennis Hopper. It's based on the film with similar ideas and characters plus new ones including a Mexican who has illegally crossed the border.
